Israeli warplanes on Tuesday carried out bomb attacks on a site in the Northwest of the city of Khan Younis, South of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli aircraft destroyed the site by firing two missiles that completely destroyed it and damaged nearby homes but no casualties were recorded, according to reports.

Israeli authorities claimed that they carried out the attack in retaliation for a missile attack from Gaza that landed in a settlement near the strip, though no casualties were recorded.

It would be recalled that the Gaza Strip has been under continuous Israeli attacks since June 2007 with the blockade leading to a deplorable standard of living, unemployment and poverty.

Due to Israeli siege which began in 2008, thousands of Palestinians have been killed, others maimed and a large number of the infrastructure in the area, reduced to rubble, with the United Nations warning of a looming humanitarian crisis by 2020, if nothing is done to stop the attacks.
